Evrim Atesler is a musician and singer born in Izmir, Turkey.  Playing a number of eastern and western musical instruments (the piano, the guitar, the ney, the clarinet, the ud, the buzuki and percussions), he is particularly interested in Greek music and has specialised in it. He is known as one of the best performers in Turkey of the famous “Smyrneika” as well as the “Rembetika”, a Greek musical genre also known as the “Greek Blues”. HAPPY CHILDREN ®

CHOIR & ORCHESTRA, IZMIR I TURKEY

The Happy Children Choir and Orchestra was established by Evrim Atesler in 2014. Participating children attend musical instruments and singing lessons  privately or in groups, followed by concerts at various times of the year. For more information please get in touch.

Greek newspaper “Kathimerini” presents “Journey Through Smyrna”. 

Evrim Atesler was invited to the premiere of  "Journey Through Smyrna", which took place in the 10^th  New York Greek Film Festival. 

"Journey Through Smyrna" premiered in Izmir in the 17^th International Short Film Festival. 

Okeanos travels to the Cannes Film Festival  with the song "Mey Zamanı" (Time to Drink). 

They have broken their own record of 1000  live performances in 5 years on the same stage and have now reached 2000 performances in 8 years.

After breaking the 2000 performances record in 8 years, Evrim Atesler and Okeanos, now in their 9^th year, continue at the Swissotel Buyuk Efes in Izmir on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On Thursdays and Sundays the performances are going on at the Cretan Cuisine Balikci Mehmet Usta Restaurant  presenting old gramophone recordings, old 45s and the newly released “Afieromenos sto Rembetiko” (Dedicated to Rembetiko).
